I refer to Minister’s media release of 28 January 2010 headlined ‘Private sector joins Government in delivering ‘Pilbara Cities’ vision’, and I ask:
(a) what development has been completed on Lot 21, as referred to in the Minister’s announcement;
(b) which of the following items have been completed in South Hedland, as referred to in the Minister’s announcement:
(i) a new town square;
(ii) retail and café strip;
(iii) shade structures;
(iv) a grassed amphitheatre –style multi-use event space;
(v) a water play area;
(vi) public artworks; and
(vii) Lighting to address any community concerns relating to safety and security?

(a) The proponent of Lot 21 is making progress, with the forward works building licence having been approved by the Town of Port Hedland in the week of the 3 October 2011. It is anticipated work will commence on site in early 2012.
(b) Construction activity on these items is progressing well with completion anticipated in December 2011.
