I refer to the answer to question without notice No. 665 of 18 September 2012 regarding the care and maintenance programme of the Hanson's Red Hill quarry, in which the Minister for Planning identified the Environmental Protection Authority as the responsible government agency, and I ask —
(1) Will the Minister please table the care and maintenance programme for Hanson's Red Hill quarry referred to by the Department of Planning?
(2) If no to (1), why not?

(1)-(2) In 1991, Hanson Construction Materials Pty Ltd (Hanson) was given approval under Ministerial Statement 199 (as amended by Ministerial Statement 705 in 2005) to relocate the old Herne Hill Quarry Operation to the current Red Hill site.
Neither quarry has been in care and maintenance.
The Minister for Environment believes the Minister for Planning made reference to a care and maintenance program in his letter dated 11 February 2012 as the Red Hill site was actively quarried but an application for further expansion was pending a decision.  The Minister for Environment issued  Statement 912 on 9 October 2012.
Statements 199, 705 and 912 which authorise quarrying at Hanson's Red Hill site do not require a care and maintenance program. Rehabilitation plans are required for these quarries and these are available from Hanson on request.
