I refer to the proposed Forrestfield–airport
rail line.
(1) How many new railcars will be
purchased for this line?
(2) Is it
intended that these railcars will be part of the 50 new Perth C series railcars
proposed in tender PTA2014063?
(3) If no to (2), what railcars will
be purchased for this line?

(1) The project will fund the
acquisition of an additional 24 railcars for the Transperth fleet.
(2) The C series
train deliveries will provide the passenger capacity to allow eight
three-railcar sets of B series capacity to be available for the Forrestfield–airport
line.
