advises:
(1) Extensive noise measurement and modelling was prepared in March 2008. The report provided modelled noise levels in 2011 and 2031 comparing scenarios where the highway would or would not be reconstructed.
(2) The information sought provides details on a number of private properties. It would not be appropriate to release this information without the owners agreement.
(a) The noise abatement package recommended consisted of:
- Insulation (if none existed and the building had open eaves) provided in the ceiling space
- Mechanical fresh air venting for the affected rooms
- External 40mm thick solid core doors with acoustic seals
- Thicker (single glazed 10.38mm or double glazed 6.38mm depending on the design of the window frame) window glass for the affected rooms
(b) The noise abatement package implemented was the same as that recommended except that: The form of mechanical air venting used was a readily available evaporative air-conditioning system. An owner elected to pay the difference and received a refrigerating air-conditioning system.
(3 - 4) Yes. [see tabled paper no].
