2017–18 CHAPLAINCY FUNDING APPLICATIONS
885. Hon SUE ELLERY to the Minister for
Education:
I refer to the in-school chaplaincy
funding applications for 2017–18.
(1) When were schools formally
notified of the application time lines?
(2) Is the
minister aware that some schools did not receive notification of the closing
dates until the week applications closed?
(3) Have any schools requested that
late applications be considered?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) All schools
were informed of the in-school chaplaincy funding application timelines in an
Ed-e-mail sent to all principals on 2 August 2016.
(2) The Ed-e-mail
communication informed principals that applications opened on 2 August 2016 and
closed at 5.00 pm on 16 August 2016, giving them two weeks to submit an
application.
(3) Yes. Twenty
schools submitted applications after the closing date. Each of these
applications will be considered in the context of the circumstances that
resulted in their late submission.
