2(b)-(d) It should be noted that the reference to 40.5 per cent was based on a survey of generic counselling agencies, that included Financial Counsellors, Family and Support Counsellors, Self Help Agencies, Community Legal Services and Ethnic Community Agencies, that were asked to estimate the forms of gambling with which their clients were involved. However, as Gambling Help WA, the specialist problem gambling counselling service in Western Australia, funded by the Gaming and Wagering Commission of Western Australia, was not included in the survey, this figure cannot be relied upon as an accurate representation of the percentage of problem gamblers in counselling that report the TAB as their primary source of problem gambling.
