STADIUM — REDEVELOPMENT
977. Hon LINDA SAVAGE to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Sport and Recreation:
I refer to the upgrade works at nib Stadium.
(1) What is the latest budget for this project and the
estimated completion date?
(2) Can the
minister confirm information given by contractors to local residents that,
instead of the electrical supply for the new stadium being laid directly down
Summers Street to the stadium, it has been re-routed over a kilometre away
through Harold Street, Mt Lawley?
(3) If the
minister cannot confirm this information, will he undertake to ascertain
whether this information is correct?
(4) What is the total length and cost of this diversion?
(5) Can the
minister confirm reports that local residents were not informed of work to
their paths and driveways and cuts to phone lines on 9 and 10 November; and, if
so, why were residents not informed ahead of time?
