(1) Is the Department for Community Development considering the purchase of a 39 000 square metre site at the corner of Hartfield and Schofield Roads, Forrestfield for a crisis accommodation centre for troubled youth? (2) If so, what will be the nature of the centre - (a) is it to be a replacement for the Bedford Hostel; (b) is it to be an adolescent crisis assessment centre similar to that previously intended to be built at Dundas Road, Forrestfield; (c) is it to have a function similar to that of the Kath French Centre, Parkerville; or (d) is it to serve a function different from those available at existing adolescent crisis centres? (3) What is the maximum number of adolescents the proposed centre will accommodate at any given time? (1) The Department for Community Development met with the Shire of Kalamunda to discuss the Hartfield Road site as one option for a crisis accommodation service. There are no plans to have further negotiations for the use of this site. (2)-(4) Not applicable.
