OAKAJEE PORT MASTER PLAN
I refer to the recent release of the Geraldton Port Authority’s Oakajee port master plan. (1) Can the minister confirm that the June 2011 plan replaced a more substantial document that was not released? (2) Has the current plan been developed in response to the withdrawal, temporary or otherwise, of Sinosteel from its Weld Range mine development in Western Australia’s Mid West? (3) What other reasons can the minister advance for the release of such a brief planning document, particularly given its 30-year time frame? (4) When does the minister intend expanding on the current plan? Hon SIMON O’BRIEN
