SINGLE-USE PLASTICS
1274. Hon SOPHIA MOERMOND to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Environment:
I refer to the recent requirement in
the European Union for plastic caps on drink bottles to be tethered by design.
(1) Is the government aware of the move by the EU to
implement this requirement on manufacturers supplying the EU market?
(2) Is it a consideration
of the Western Australian government to implement a similar requirement in this
state, especially with the move against single-use plastics?
