(2) Who nominated the 109 additional sites?

(2) The nominated additional Bush Forever areas were nominated through the public submission period on the draft Perth's Bushplan. Over 2,000 submissions were received from landowners, government departments, industry, community groups, and interested individuals. (3) Staff time involved to date is estimated at approximately $20,000. (4) Sites are required to meet planning and botanical criteria before they can be considered for inclusion and they also require the agreement of the landowner/s. All 17 areas have been inspected (site visit). Landowner liaison is continuing and it is anticipated that decisions on these areas will be finalised within three to six months, subject to the required approvals process. (5) Yes all landowners have been notified. However, as per (1), purchase is not the intended approach. Three landowners to date have requested that their property is not included as part of a nominated additional Bush Forever area.
