secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the minister's
announcement on 15 May that consultation has opened on the Perth Entertainment
and Sporting Precinct.
(1) Has Main Roads Western Australia engaged in
any targeted consultation?
(2) If yes to (1), which councils, groups and
individuals has it met with and on what dates?
(3) Has Main Roads engaged a racetrack design
consultant for the precinct project?
(4) If yes to (3), who is the consultant and when
were they engaged?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question and provide the following
answer on behalf of the Minister for Transport.
(1)–(2) The project team and the Premier's
parliamentary secretary continue to consult directly with key stakeholders and
residents. To date, this has included AusCycling, the Australian Hotels
Association, the Chamber of Arts and Culture Western Australia, the City of
Perth, the City of Vincent, the Committee for Perth, Darren's Small Bar, Fairways
Properties' Chair of Council of Owners, Karting Western Australia, Mellen
Events, Peninsula Properties' Chair of Council of Owners, RTRFM, the Save
Burswood Park Coalition, Skate WA, The Camfield, the Tourism Council WA,
Tourism WA, the Town of Victoria Park, Triathlon WA, the WA Disabled Sports
Association, the WA Sporting Car Club, West Australian Music and WestCycle.
(3)–(4) Integrated Event Delivery
Management Pty Ltd has been engaged as a design consultant.
