I refer the Minister to the greyhound, Molly, and the response to my previous question on 19 June 2025, and I ask: (a) since that response, is the Minister aware that a further three greyhounds have been killed on track, seven euthanised off track due to race-related injuries, and 10 have sustained major injuries (excluding any unreported incidents occurring off track); (b) what causes has Racing and Wagering Western Australia identified in its investigations into these incidents; and (c) what specific improvements or safety measures have been implemented as a result?

The Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety advises:
(a) Between 19 June to 9 September 2025, there were three cases of on-course euthanasia of greyhounds, four cases of greyhounds euthanised off-course due to race-related injuries and 13 cases of greyhounds sustaining injuries requiring a 90-day stand down.
(b) Racing and Wagering Western Australia stewards identified that the three on-course euthanasia cases were the result of collision-related injuries sustained during racing.
(c) RWWA stewards investigate all greyhound racing incidents. All injuries, including minor ones such as a scratch or muscle soreness, are recorded and reported. Every significant racing injury is investigated to isolate the factors involved and assess any avenues to avoid similar incidents. RWWA’s Safe Racing Committee reviews all serious injuries to develop and implement preventive measures to reduce the incident rate and the severity of racing-related injuries to greyhounds.
