STUDENT HOUSING — NATIONAL RENTAL AFFORDABILITY SCHEME
663. Hon AMBER-JADE SANDERSON to the minister representing the Minister for Housing:
I refer to the Minister for Housing's comments in the
other place relating to the high percentage of foreign students housed in the
national rental affordability scheme–funded housing at the University
of Western Australia and in which he stated that he had written to the
commonwealth requesting a review.
(1) Has the
minister received a response from the commonwealth on this issue?
(2) Has the
minister had any discussions with UWA about why its foreign student tenancy in
these dwellings is almost double that of other universities?
(3) If no to
(2), why not?
