representing the Minister for Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence:I refer to my
question during budget estimates last year when I asked the Minister for
Education to table the respectful relationships program curriculum and was
refused because it is a Department of Communities' program.(1) Will the minister table the respectful
relationships' curriculum and associated teaching materials?(2) If not, why not?

Hon Jackie Jarvis replied:I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question. The following response has
been provided by the Minister for Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence.(1)–(2) The WA respectful relationships teaching
support program is a prevention initiative funded by the Department of
Communities and delivered by an external service provider. It is not a
curriculum program and does not form part of the Department of Education or the
School Curriculum and Standards Authority materials. As such, there is no
formal curriculum package held by the Department of Communities to be tabled.
