I refer to the Western Australian Mineral and Petroleum Statistics Digest 2009-10, and table three Royalty Receipts on page 59, and ask -
(1) Will the Minister provide a breakdown of Royalty Receipts by commodity and individual corporation?
(2) Will the Minister provide a breakdown of Royalty Receipts by commodity collected on behalf of the Commonwealth?
(3) Will the Minister provide a breakdown of Royalty Receipts by commodity and individual corporation collected on behalf of the Commonwealth?
(4) If no to any of the above, why not?

(1) No
(2) In 2009-10, Western Australia administered the collection of petroleum royalty receipts totalling $1.3 billion on behalf of the Commonwealth. The vast majority of this royalty revenue is generated from the North West Shelf project. Of the $1.3 billion petroleum royalty receipts collected by the Commonwealth in 2009-10, $872 million was distributed to the Western Australian Government.

(4) With regard to questions 1 and 3, further breakdowns of royalty receipts by individual corporation are not released by the Department of Mines and Petroleum due to data confidentiality reasons.
