(a) For the financial year 2006/2007, 5.6 GL of effluent from the three metropolitan wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) at Subiaco, Beenyup and Woodman Point was re-used.
(b) This 5.6 GL represented 5.13% of flows from these plants.
(c) This water is used for a variety of purposes. The majority of it is supplied to industry via the Kwinana Water Reclamation Plant. Of the remainder, some is supplied for the irrigation of municipal ovals, and the rest is used within the WWTP's for activities such as cooling, flushing, and chemical dosing.
