The Western Australia Police Service advise:
(1 – 3) The Midland Police Station is a 24 hour, 7 day a week police station. It is always staffed, although for security reasons the front external doors are closed after 8pm on weekdays when members of the public can gain access to the police station by pressing a buzzer.

(5) Occasional decisions to close the doors to the Midland Police Station are taken by the Officer in Charge on a case by case basis to ensure adequate service delivery to the district when there are special demands.
