I refer to the Minister’s “Top 40” rebate scheme which, according to the Minister’s answer to Question on Notice 4403, did not elicit the payment of any rebates, and I ask: (a) what was the total cost of promoting the scheme, including airfares to Carnarvon for the launch; (b) has the Minister asked LandCorp for an analysis or review of the lack of take-up of the rebate scheme; and (c) If yes to (b), what reasons have been provided for the lack of take-up?

(a) The total promotional costs for the campaign were $24,086.17. There was no launch in Carnarvon. The Minister was in Carnarvon on other business and the opportunity was taken to take a photograph of the Minister at one of the lot's offered for sale as part of the "Top 40" rebate scheme.
(b)  Yes.
(c) Market conditions have fundamentally changed in recent times. Consequently there has been a significant downturn in the sale of  vacant lots in regional WA.
