(a) The Road Safety Council, through the Road Trauma Trust Fund, contracted the Department of Health (DOH) to investigate options and mechanisms to establish a dedicated road trauma support service in Western Australia, and to produce a written report on the findings and recommendations. The investigations are complete and the report was received on 30 September 2011.
(b) The Minister asked for a report by 30 June 2011. He was informed in July 2011 that the revised date for release of the report would be 30 September 2011.
(c) The final report will be presented to the Road Safety Council for consideration. The recommendations in relation to implementing any proposed program will be tabled at the Ministerial Road Safety Council for consideration and funding as appropriate.
