(1) Does the Government support the notion that gamblers should not be able to gamble using credit? (2) Is it the Government’s intention to allow the sale of lotto products on the Internet using credit cards? Hon N.D. GRIFFITHS

(1) The former Minister for Racing and Gaming will be aware that some credit betting does occur.  It is not the policy of this Government, however, to facilitate the widespread use of credit, and any use of credit for gaming purposes of any kind would need to be very carefully considered. (2) The matter is not being considered.
