(1) On 30 June 2016 there were 311 children in the care of the Chief Executive Officer of the Department for Child Protection and Family Support in the South West district.
(2) (a) During 2015-16, eight children entered care and were able to return to their families within six months.
(b) During 2015-16 no children who entered care were able to leave care into long term living arrangements with carers within six months.
(c) Of the 311 children in care in the South West district on 30 June 2016 - 300 remain in care.
(d) Of the eight children who left care to live with their families six children returned to the CEO's care.
