785. Hon DARREN WEST to the
Attorney General representing the Minister for Emergency Services:
I mention that I am a former student at the University of
Minnesota, and spent a wonderful year at that institution.

so-called ''fast attack'' vehicles for bush fire brigades have
been replaced with medium rigid vehicles in the last 12 months?
(2) How many more are due to be replaced in the next 12

(3) What is the reason for replacement?
(4) Will the
Department of Fire and Emergency Services meet the costs associated with
volunteers having to obtain a B class licence to drive these replacement
vehicles; and, if not, why not?
