The Department of Finance advises:
(1) 885,180 square metres
(2) The estimated costs reported for the following relocation projects represent the cost of each fit-out project, including all professional fees and levies, loose furniture and equipment, workstations and audio visual equipment, and the cost of construction and commissioning ready for occupation. [See tabled paper No: ]
(3) 452 leases and licences relating to office accommodation with an approximate cost to government of $257 million per annum (includes rent, variable outgoings and car parking).
(4) The August 2017 Property Council of Australia Office Market Report reported a vacancy rate of 21.1 per cent in the Perth central business district for July 2017. There is no uncommitted vacant space in the Perth central business district in the Minister for Works leased office accommodation portfolio.
