(a) and (b) A communications protocol between the Department of Health and Minister for Mental Health was signed by Dr Peter Flett, Director General of Health on 22 December 2008, and by Hon Dr Graham Jacobs MLA, Minister for Mental Health on 2 January 2009.

Drug and Alcohol Authority
(a)and (b) A communications protocol between the Drug and Alcohol Authority and Minister for Mental Health was signed by Dr Peter Flett, Director General of Department of Health on 6 February 2009, by Neil Guard, Executive Director Western Australian Alcohol and Drug Authority on 10 February 2009, and by Hon Dr Graham Jacobs Minister for Mental Health on 16 February. This late signing occurred as a result of the belief that DAO fell under the auspices of the Department of Health as their reporting body.

When the Water Corporation was created in January 1996, it was removed from the control of the
Public Section Management Act
and from this time all dealings with the Minister have been in accordance with the relevant sections of the
Water Corporation Act 1995
.
Nevertheless, the Corporation has observed the general intent of Section 74 of the
Public Sector Management Act
for its day to day dealings with the Minister's office.
