I refer to the use of chemical restraints and control weapons in youth
detention, and I ask: (a) what was the monthly use of chemical restraints and control weapons, respectively,
in each youth detention facility last calendar year, prior to 6 December 2024; and (b) what was the monthly use of chemical restraints and control weapons,
respectively, in each youth detention facility from 6 December 2024 to date?

Tables 1 and 2 provide the use of control weapons in youth detention for the requested periods, before and after 6 December 2024. It should be noted that:
a)    Both tables show use of Chemical Agent only, as no other in-scope control weapon usage types were recorded during the reporting periods; and
b)    Corrective Services does not use Medical Chemical Restraints. These can only be approved through the Chief Psychologist.
