(c) Data about the number of public schools teaching a language in 2015 is yet to be collected. This occurs via the Semester 2 student census in August.
(d) No. However supplementary funding from the Japan Foundation will no longer be provided after July 2015. Their funding is considered development funding, intended as a short-term injection of funds to help promote and build capacity in the teaching and learning of Japanese. The Department will continue to support teachers of Japanese after July 2015 through Language Teacher Development Schools and the
Key Language Leaders
program.
