BUSSELTON HEALTH CAMPUS
I refer to the new Busselton Health Campus. (1) Can the minister confirm whether the following existing buildings will be demolished following the completion of the new Busselton Health Campus — (a) the Busselton Hospice; (b) the community health centre; (c) the St John Ambulance building; and (d) the existing Busselton Hospital? Hon HELEN MORTON

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. (1) The budget for the redevelopment of the Busselton Health Campus includes provision for the demolition of the Busselton Hospice, the community health centre and the existing Busselton Hospital. However, a determination has not yet been made about whether there are any viable alternative uses for these buildings. Services provided by the Busselton Hospice, the community health centre and the hospital will be provided in the new Busselton Health Campus facility. The St John Ambulance building is not owned by the Department of Health and is not included in the scope of the redevelopment project. The building can be accommodated in its current location, but a potential alternative site has also been identified.
