1206. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the Leader of the House representing
the Minister Assisting the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the Road Traffic
(Vehicles) Amendment (Offensive Advertising) Act, which came into effect in
November 2023.
(1) Is the
minister aware of complaints having been made to Ad Standards regarding
offensive advertising on vehicles since the act came into effect?
(2) Is the minister aware of any
notices issued by Ad Standards to vehicle owners pursuant to the act?
(3) How many cases have been referred
by Ad Standards to the department?
(4) Have any
vehicle licences been cancelled due to a failure to modify or remove offensive
advertising from a vehicle?
