DIANELLA HEIGHTS PRIMARY SCHOOL EARLY CHILDHOOD
CENTRE
1385. Hon AMBER-JADE SANDERSON to the Minister for Education:
I refer to the Dianella Heights Primary School early
childhood centre. The centre currently does not meet national standards, is
overcrowded, has a kindergarten room without a toilet and has a range of
maintenance issues because of its age. The school was previously promised a new
early childhood centre to replace existing ageing facilities. The ECC was to be
built in late 2013. Despite meetings with the Department of Education regarding
this matter, there is no indication that this will happen.
(1) Can the minister advise whether Dianella Heights Primary
School ECC will be redeveloped and when?
(2) If no to (1), why not?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1)–(2)
An upgrade to the facilities will be considered as part of future capital works
programs. I am advised that two existing rooms will be refurbished and the play
area enhanced during 2015.
