MEMBER FOR JOONDALUP — INFRINGEMENT NOTICE AGAINST DAUGHTER
I refer to the member for Joondalup’s alleged attempts to use his influence to have an infringement notice against his daughter withdrawn. (1) Was a review conducted into the allegations by the member for Joondalup of improper and abusive behaviour by a revenue protection officer? (2) If so, who conducted the investigation? (3) What was the outcome of the investigation into the officer’s alleged improper and abusive behaviour and will the minister table the document? (4) Has the fine been withdrawn? (5) Does the minister support the actions of the revenue protection officer involved? Ms A.J.G. MacTIERNAN

(1)-(5) I point out that notice of that question was not given. Of course, it is unreasonable of the member to expect that a question with that level of detail should be answered without some notice being given. Normal processes would apply to any piece of correspondence to, or contact with, our office on this matter. The matter was referred by our office to the Public Transport Authority for an investigation. As far as I understand, that investigation is underway. I do not believe that it has been concluded.
