The Heritage Council made 26 grants in the 2002/2003 financial year totalling $448,500. None of the projects allocated under the Heritage Grants Program for 2002/03 have yet been finalised. Throughout the life of each project, progress payments are made when a recipient submits a claim for payment, following submission and satisfactory review of progress reports. Upon satisfactory completion of each project, final grant acquittal is made. Under the terms and conditions of the 2002/03 Heritage Grants Program, grant recipients have until 31 December 2003 to finalise their projects. If the Member seeks specific information on any particular grant, the Minister for Heritage will be happy to supply the Member with that information.
