Can the Minister please advise: (a) On what date the first patient was admitted to the Murdoch Medihotel; (b) What has been the average occupancy rate, by bed number and percentage of available beds, each week since that date; (c) Is there an age requirement for admission to the medihotel; (d) What percentage of patients transfer to the Murdoch Medihotel from Fiona Stanley Hospital; (e) What percentage of patients transfer from other hospitals; (f) How are patients who transfer from hospitals other than Fiona Stanley transported to the Murdoch Medihotel; (g) Have there been any deaths at Murdoch medihotel; (h) What percentage of patients who have been admitted to Murdoch medihotel are readmitted to Fiona Stanley Hospital; (i) What percentage of patients from Murdoch Medihotel are readmitted to other public hospitals; and (j) What percentage of patients who have been admitted to Murdoch Medihotel are awaiting placement in either respite, transitional care or residential care?

a) 24 September 2024
b) The Medihotel had a phased opening of beds and wards. Accurate occupancy data is only available from when all beds were opened on each ward.

c) These are adult beds, above 18 years.
d) Wards M5, M6 and M7 are allocated to FSH patients. Since February 2025 95.6% of patients transferred to these three Medihotel wards were from FSH.
e) Since February 2025, 100% of beds in M8 have been for transfers from other hospitals.
f) Ambulance or patient transport.
g) The Murdoch Medihotel has multiple floors dedicated to palliative care patients, high-complexity and high-frailty patients awaiting placement at a Residential Aged Care Facility, and patients with multiple acute and highly complex conditions, including cancers. Less than 5 deaths have occurred subject to a clinical incident notification, relating to falls.
h) Unplanned readmissions via the FSH Emergency Department within 28 days is approximately 9.6%.
i) Unplanned readmissions via a non-FSH Emergency Department is approximately 4.6%.
j) 27% of current admitted patients are awaiting placement in either respite, transitional care or residential care.
