Hon PAUL LLEWELLYN to the Leader of the House representing the Minister for Water Resources: I refer to the government’s commitment in the February 2003 state water strategy to require a water conservation plan to be developed before a water allocation licence is issued or renewed, and to put in place conditions on those licences for implementation of the plan to an agreed schedule. (1) How many applications for new licences and renewals have been made since the commitment was given? (2) How many water allocation licences have been issued since this commitment was given?
