(1) In the month of February 2015 there were 992 new Safety and Wellbeing Assessments recorded in the following districts:
Armadale - 66
Cannington - 76
Crisis Care - 93
East Kimberley - 31
Fremantle - 53
Goldfields - 16
Great Southern - 37
Joondalup - 81
Midland - 69
Mirrabooka - 48
Murchison - 21
Peel - 64
Perth - 33
Pilbara - 62

(2) This data is not available for 28 February 2015. As at 3 March 2015 there were no children in care for more than 30 days with no planning recorded.
(3) The Department for Child Protection and Family Support no longer distinguishes between Safety and Wellbeing Assessments 'with' and 'without' harm concerns at the assessment stage. As at 28 February 2015, there were 1,041 Safety and Wellbeing Assessments open for more than 90 days in the following districts:

There are a range of reasons for delay in finalising Safety and Wellbeing Assessments, including waiting to receive critical information from other agencies or professionals; forensic investigations being finalised by the Western Australia Police; and delays in data entry. The Department takes the necessary action to keep a child safe while the Safety and Wellbeing Assessment is underway.
(4) The Department no longer distinguishes between Safety and Wellbeing Assessments 'with' and 'without' harm concerns at the assessment stage. As at 28 February 2015, there were 2,931 open Safety and Wellbeing Assessments in the following districts:
