I refer to the sector support
package that will be developed to assist commercial operators impacted by the
creation of three new marine parks in the Buccaneer Archipelago.
(1) Is this
package intended to complement or replace avenues for compensation that exist
through the Fishing and Related Industries Compensation (Marine Reserves) Act
1997, known as FRICMA?
(2) By what date will the department have the draft
details of its sector support package ready for consultation?
