(2) The Station OIC determines the number of patrols in the Pinjarra Police Sub District according to local crime patterns and station staff strength. Use of the Insight program has enabled Station Officers in Charge to better roster their staff and target Police operational activities to ensure maximum results are achieved. In the period 1 July 2000 to 30 June 2001, 730 vehicle/foot patrols were conducted between 1800 and 0600. (3) During the 4 month period May 1st to August 25th 2001, there were 31 reported burglaries on commercial premises within the Pinjarra Townsite. Only 5 were confirmed to have occurred between midnight and 6.00 am. Police advise it appears most burglaries were day/lunch time burglaries on the businesses. (4) Personnel within the Pinjarra Sub District will continue to be deployed by the O.I.C. of the Pinjarra Station to address prevailing crime issues.
