Minister for Police:
I refer to question without notice
1439 asked on 12 November 2024 and answered on 14 November 2024.
(1) Who gives the
Western Australia Police Force legal advice?
(2) Considering
the State Administrative Tribunal's ruling, who is correct: the State
Administrative Tribunal or the Western Australia Police Force?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The Western Australia Police Force advises the following.
(1) The WA Police Force has an internal legal services
division with solicitors who provide advice. The State Solicitor's
Office can also provide legal advice.
(2) It is a matter for the courts to
determine points of law.
