FIONA STANLEY HOSPITAL — SERCO CONTRACT —
PORTERAGE SERVICES
78. Mr R.H. COOK to the
Minister for Health:
I have a supplementary question. Will Serco be fined, or will
it have to make recompense to the state for the failure of these services?

AnswerView source ↗

It is not a failure of the service. The numbers were
determined as to what was required, and it was decided that those numbers were
not adequate. Serco has been required to increase those numbers, and it has
done so—in fact, well above the requirements of the contract—to
make sure that we have a top-quality service throughout the hospital.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Minister for Health, Minister for Police,
member for Bassendean and member for Cockburn, we have finished that question.
If you want to discuss it, go outside. I call you all to order for the first
time.
