METRONET —
PUBLIC TRANSPORT AUTHORITY OPERATING SUBSIDY
574. Hon TJORN SIBMA to the Leader of the House representing
the Minister for Transport:
I note the $1.2 billion Public
Transport Authority operating subsidy to be paid in the 2023–24 budget
year, which is referred to on page 298 of budget paper No 3.
(1) What
proportion of this amount relates to Metronet projects?
(2) What is the
forecast PTA operating subsidy for each of the budget out years?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1) Costs
incurred by government for the provision of public transport in Western Australia
are not broken down to individual train lines or individual bus routes.
(2) Operating
subsidies are available in the 2023–24 budget papers.
