(2) No, the AQMP Implementation Plan has not yet been released. (3) Not applicable. (4) The Implementation Strategy has been developed and is expected to be presented to the Air Quality Coordinating Committee for transmittal to the Minister for the Environment and Heritage in April 2002. Delays have occurred as a result of the Machinery of Government recommendations and amalgamation of departments. (5) Implementation of the Perth AQMP has already started with the commencement of 18 programs being undertaken by a number of government departments. These include: Implementation of Travel Smart Programs (Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and Department of Planning and Infrastructure). Improving access to Air Quality information via a Web page and other education programs (DEP). Smoke management relating to planned burning operations (DEP and Department of Conservation and Land Management).
