AND INNOVATION STRATEGY
509. Hon KATE DOUST to the Leader of the House representing the Minister for Science and
Innovation :
I refer the minister
to the answer to question without notice 16 regarding the development of a new
science and innovation strategy.
(1) Has the science priorities document been completed and approved?
(2) Will the minister table the science priorities document; and, if
not, why not?
(3) Has the science and innovation strategy been completed; and, if
yes, will the minister —
(a)
table this strategy;
(b) provide the names of the stakeholders
that have been consulted in the formulation of the strategy; and
(c)
provide a time line for the strategy's implementation?
(4) If no to (3), why not?

I thank the member
for some notice of this question.
(1) A draft of the science priorities document is currently being
considered by government.
(2) No; the policy is still under consideration.
(3) The science and innovation strategy has not been completed.
(4) Once the science priorities document has
been finalised consideration will be given to a comprehensive strategy.
