NATIONAL
PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT ON HOMELESSNESS
42. Hon SALLY
TALBOT to the Minister for Child Protection:
Is the minister aware that because she has not signed up to
the National Partnership Agreement on Homelessness, she is putting at risk WA's
share of a $76 million development fund, and that WA's services are
losing staff and turning away clients because of the funding uncertainty?

I thank the member for the question. I have been briefed on
the situation during the past few weeks and have asked questions about the
discussion and the negotiations taking place. I can confirm that those
negotiations are still taking place and I believe that a resolution will be
found in a very short time.
