732. Hon AMBER-JADE SANDERSON to the minister representing the Minister for Planning:
I refer to key milestones concerning
lots 9 and 10 at Elizabeth Quay.
(1) On what date was the development
application or applications lodged?
(2) If the application or
applications were not lodged, why not?
(3) Which
agencies or authorities will be involved in the development applications
process and which organisation will give final approval to the applications?
(4) In relation to other key
milestones —
(a) what is the current time frame
for construction to commence; and
(b) what is the current time frame
for practical completion?

I thank the member for some notice of the question.
(1) It was 30 March 2015.
(2) Not applicable.
(3) The
development application was referred for local and state government
consultation from 30 March to 11 May 2015 to the City of Perth, the contaminated
sites and noise regulation departments of the Department of Environment
Regulation, the Department of Housing, the Department of Transport, the Office
of the Government Architect, the State Heritage Office and the Swan River
Trust. The development application was also released for public consultation
from 10 April to 1 May 2015. The Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority will
provide a recommendation to the Minister for Planning, who will make the final
determination on the development application.
(4) (a) It is March 2016, subject to development approval.
(b) Construction
is expected to take approximately three years; therefore, practical completion
is expected by March 2019.
