SOUTHERN SEAWATER DESALINATION PROJECT
I refer the minister to recent comments he made in the media regarding the progress of the construction of the southern seawater desalination project. (1) How confident is the minister that the southern seawater desalination project will be operational by the original stated delivery schedule of December 2011? (2) Will the southern seawater desalination project be fully operational, be compliant with all operating and environmental licence conditions, and be producing drinking water for the integrated water supply scheme six months prior to the original delivery schedule, as the minister claimed on ABC radio on 1 September 2010? Hon HELEN MORTON
