TECHNOLOGY AND INDUSTRY ADVISORY COUNCIL
749. Hon KATE DOUST to the Leader of the House representing
the Minister for Science and Innovation:
(1) Will the
Minister for Science and Innovation provide the attendance record of each
member of the Technology and Industry Advisory Council for 2011–12,
with information on —
(a) how many meetings they attended; and
(b) which meetings they attended?
(2) Will the
minister also provide the reasons for the resignation of Dr Mal Bryce and Dr
Beverley Ronalds from the TIAC board?
(3) Will the
minister table the letters of resignation provided by Drs Bryce and Ronalds;
and, if not, why not?
(4) Will the
minister provide the TIAC meeting dates for 2012–13; and, if not, why
not?

Bryce resigned due to a number of other professional and business commitments.
Dr Beverley Ronalds resigned due to forthcoming retirement and overseas travel.
(3) No.
Insufficient time has been allowed to seek permission from Dr Mal Bryce and Dr
Beverley Ronalds to table their correspondence. I ask the member to place this
question on notice.
(4) The
council met on 14 August 2012. The remaining 2012 meeting dates are 2 October
2012 and 11 December 2012. The 2013 meeting dates have not yet been determined
by the Technology and Industry Advisory Council.
