1189. Hon AARON STONEHOUSE to the minister representing the
Minister for Transport:
I refer the minister to the Cape
Peron planning investigation area public consultation, which concluded six
months ago.
(1) Can the
minister confirm that the working group's recommendations have been
passed to her by the Western Australian Planning Commission?
(2) If yes to (1), on what date did
she receive those recommendations?
(3) When can the
residents of my electorate expect a response from the government and a confirmation,
or otherwise, of their clear desire to see this area given class A protection?

(1)–(3) The working group report has been informed by
feedback from more than 850 respondents, and a response will be provided
following consideration by the state government.
