1009. Hon DONNA FARAGHER to the minister representing the
Minister for Community Services:
I refer to the answer provided to
question without notice 488 asked on 15 May 2024 regarding funding for Kids Helpline,
which states —
The terms-of-service agreement
extension is not yet finalised.
(1) Has the terms-of-service
agreement extension now been finalised?
(2) If yes to (1), how much funding
has been provided for this service in the 2024–25 financial year?
(3) If no to (1), when is the
extension expected to be finalised?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following response has been provided by the
Minister for Community Services.
The Department of Communities
advises the following.
(1) Yes. The service agreement for Kids Helpline has
been extended for a period of five years to 30 June 2029.
(2) The
commitment for the 2024–25 financial year is $90 060, excluding GST,
plus indexation in accordance with the Western
Australian government indexation policy for the non-government human services
sector.
(3) Not applicable.
