(3) If yes to (1):
(a) how are the National Standards enforced;
(b) has the Government varied or sought exemption from any of the standards; and
(c) if so, why?
(4) Has the Government reviewed Western Australia's compliance with the National Standards:
(a) if no to (4), why not; and
(b) if yes to (4):
(i) what were the findings of the review; and
(ii) if the review is ongoing, when will it be completed?

The Minister for Environment has provided the following response.
(1) No.
(2) (a) The " Australian Animal Welfare
Standards and Guidelines: Exhibited Animals - Crocodilian Standards and
Guidelines " are currently in development under the auspices of the
Council of Australian Governments' Standing Council on Primary Industries. The
State will review the draft guidelines when they are released for public
comment, and will consider the final guidelines for adoption in relation to the
Department of Parks and Wildlife's Western Australian Crocodilian Standards
and Guidelines .
(b) Wildlife Conservation Regulations
1970.
(c) Through inspections of premises licensed under the
regulations by authorised  Department of Parks and Wildlife officers and
through the application and enforcement of appropriate licence
conditions.
