Has the cabinet standing committee on regional development prepared an impact statement that addresses the effect of the budget on rural Western Australia; and will it be tabled in Parliament? Dr GALLOP

The Government takes into account the impact that all its decisions will have on regional Western Australia. That is why I had to recite for the member what the Government is doing for health, education and jobs and how that will impact on regional Western Australia, and what it is doing with the regional investment and the capital works programs. The Leader of the National Party has focused on one interest, which forms the basis of his politics. He is entitled to pursue that course of action. However, I am interested in all the people of Western Australia and in the future of the State.
